Assessment For Retreatment with TACE (ART) Score

Assessment for Retreatment with TACE (ART) Score is an assessment tool used to determine the suitability of retreatment with trans-arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Patient with a score of 2.5 or more prior to Re TACE may not benefit from the procedure. 

ART score was developed using the radiologic EASL-response criteria (PR = greater than 50% tumor reduction) rather than mRECIST criteria (PR = greater than 30% tumor reduction). ¹
